Profound words from a 7 year old...

So Mazzy wore this shirt to school for Valentine's day. I picked it out not only for the pink but also the heart and crossbone pattern. I secretly hope she will be a pirate one day. Anyway, she asked me what the pattern meant. I said it was just a cool design. She said, "I think the heart is for love and the crossbones are for poison. That means that love hurts sometimes."

Pirate blood, eh? Are you a closet Pastafarian? Are you wise to the ways of the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Oh and about Love hurting....when we kill someone at work (OK don't revive them...)and have to sit the family down and give them the news, I always use the line 'Grief is the price you pay for love'. It's true that EVERY love story ends in tragedy........

yes, "a happy ending is just a story that isn't over yet."
