I can't tell if you are on Gore's side or not. The criticism is posted as a right wing, Rush Limpdick all or nothing attack. And since I know you don't agree with that type of thinking...
Wikipedia has a full explanation of Al Gore's energy consumption. He has several business run out of his home and invests in renewable energy. He is currently installing solar panals to further reduce is dependance on the grid and drives a hybrid vehicle.
Furthermore. Al Gore NEVER said that people should not use energy. He merely suggests that we need to be more aware of our usage and suggests subtle and easy ways for each of us to cut back (changing light bulbs for example). He personally is going above and beyond what he is suggesting that other people do.
